Enclosure: Adventures in Acquiescence
The analogy of the 21st century is the rhizome: subterranean roots, the vine, the moment of connection where heterogeneity joins up with the vertical. Now, when we speak about philosophy we also speak about ecology, biology and spatiality. Philosophy becomes linked by a simple thread to a whole variety of other zones. Where the rhizome limits us in thinking of belonging, consistency and gathering, this project carries all of the interconnection of the rhizome and adds in the enclosure, the notion of fidelity, belonging, being and having. To question how, why and what mediates these linkages is also to question about what encloses, gathers, limits and possesses them.
